Curriculum Overview
Dear Parents,
This Curriculum Overview has been developed to help parents understand what is expected of students at each grade level in the core subject areas of English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. It provides a listing of skills and concepts to be taught at each grade level.
The Common Core State Standards are a progression of learning expectations and are designed to prepare students for college and career readiness. They include rigorous content with an application of knowledge through high-order skills. The Nevada Transition Plan outlines the implementation of the Common Core State Standards in the State of Nevada.
